About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled and dedicated hands-on electronic engineers to join our growing team as Field Service Engineers at MSI - Defence Systems Limited.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out installation, commissioning, repair, service, and training of Gunnery Systems and Submarine Navigation Plotting Tables and other company products.
  • Utilize electronic, digital, electromechanical skills, as well as problem-solving skills to install, commission, and test MSI designed Weapon Systems.
  • Coordinating with Project Managers and Customer Support Manager to ensure effective delivery of service to the customer at their sites.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, whilst delivering high standards of work and customer service.
  • Constructing, conducting, and instructing training courses within the factory and at customer locations.
  • Attending Sea Trials for periods at sea, keeping to ship routines.
Requirements
  • Degree/HND/HNC/ONC in Electronic Engineering.
  • Proven and demonstrable field service experience.
  • Technical knowledge of diagnosing and repairing digital, electronic, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
  • Flexible and can adapt quickly to changing schedules.
  • High level of computer literacy to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Qualifications in Weapons inspection, repair, and servicing.
  • Experience of compiling and delivering training courses.
  • Previous customer-facing Service Engineer role.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Physically fit to be able to work in harsh (hot and cold) environments in the UK and overseas.
