Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer - Electric Vehicles to join our team at EVEREC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electric vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend client sites to carry out essential repair and/or maintenance of electric vehicles.
  • Support the build of electric vehicles in the workshop, working independently or as part of a team of technicians.
  • Maintain and repair electric vehicles, including assembly and disassembly of EV motors, gearboxes, and power electronics.
  • Read and understand technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Diagnose and quality check completed work.
  • Travel frequently to clients or suppliers across the UK and occasionally internationally.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or HNC/BTEC in Engineering.
  • Valid UK driver's license.
  • Experience in the use of diagnostic software.
  • Strong diagnostic capabilities, both electrical and mechanical.
  • 4+ years of experience in vehicle maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics, with an electrical bias being an advantage.
  • Ability to operate tooling, machinery, and equipment related to assembly, repairs, and modification of EV buses.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with high motivation.
  • Ability to manage your own time while in the field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Physical fitness, as the role involves lifting and manual handling, and operation of equipment and power tools.
