We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in the Yorkshire Region. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work across our West Yorkshire sites, including HMP Leeds Category B remand, HMP Wakefield Category A, and HMP Wealstun Category C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on your caseload
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of our mental health service, leading senior mental health clinicians on service developments and providing clinical supervision
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to review referrals, determine treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in complex case reviews

Requirements

  • Registered professional with current GMC registration
  • Specialist Registration in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
  • Approved under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983
  • Understanding of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Up-to-date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD
  • Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation
