Removals Operations Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Removals Operations Manager to join our team at Red Recruit. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for managing our fleet of vehicles and drivers, as well as overseeing the efficient operation of our removals and storage services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operations department to ensure the efficient operation of vehicles, drivers, and porters.
  • Liaise directly with individual customers to understand their removal requirements and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Manage the allocation of vehicles and crews to individual customer jobs, ensuring sufficient manpower and vehicle resources.
  • Oversee the removal diary, ensuring that all jobs are completed on time and to the required standard.
  • Liaise with parking suspension at the council to ensure smooth unloading and loading of jobs.
  • Manage the daily accounts for customers, ensuring accurate and timely billing.
  • Manage the operational paperwork for all storage jobs and direct removal jobs.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working in a managerial role within the removals and relocations industry.
  • Confident communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership skills and good knowledge of removals processes, fleet maintenance, and transportation regulations.
