Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Five Education in Yeovil. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children and young people who require extra support in their educational journey.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children and young people. You will be working closely with identified children and young people, encouraging them to learn and challenge themselves. The children have a diagnosis of Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Autism or ADHD and/or mental health challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting 1:1 in class or in small groups
  • Help pupils to remain focused
  • Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Be empathetic, kind, and patient
  • Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa - we cannot accept sponsorship visas)
  • Two recent references, covering the last 2 years
  • DBS/police checks if necessary
