Role Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Associate to join our team at Five Education in Yeovil. As a Learning Support Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people who require extra support in their educational journey.

About the Job

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and experience in supporting students with Special Education Needs (SEN) and mental health challenges. You will be working closely with identified children and young people, encouraging them to learn and challenge themselves.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with SEN and mental health challenges in a classroom setting
  • Developing relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff to ensure a supportive learning environment
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Empathy, kindness, and patience when working with students
  • A valid visa to work in the UK (we cannot accept sponsorship visas)
  • Two recent professional references covering the last 2 years
  • DBS/police checks may be required depending on the role
