Support Worker in Education Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEMH, high needs children, and autism, and will be able to establish positive relationships with hard-to-reach children. A resilient and determined approach is essential for this role.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support students by making the curriculum accessible and creating engaging learning experiences.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with pupils while maintaining a safe and consistent environment.
  • Help students develop social skills and self-regulation skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members to address individual student needs.
  • Motivate students to reach their full potential through encouragement and praise.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Relevant references and DBS/police checks (if necessary).
  • Able to work from 8:30-15:30.

Estimated Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
