About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior YouTube Channel Manager to join our team at UpStream Media Ltd. As a Junior YouTube Channel Manager, you will be responsible for managing and curating social channels across multiple brands, identifying opportunities to maximize content exposure and value, and presenting content in a way that stops thumbs and catches eyes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Management: Run and curate social channels across multiple brands using audience development strategies.
  • Content Optimization: Identify opportunities to maximize content exposure and value.
  • Content Presentation: Present content in a way that stops thumbs and catches eyes.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Regularly use analytics data to improve content performance with an ability to react quickly to any platform changes.
  • Content Sourcing and Editing: Sourcing, editing, and curating content from an extensive library.
  • Content Repurposing: Repurposing existing content for different platforms to help build the brands.
  • Content Writing: Writing engaging copy which aligns with SEO best practices and brand guidelines.
  • Content Scheduling: Ensuring weekly upload schedules are adhered to.
  • Community Engagement: Engaging with the community, subscriber base, and chat moderation.
  • Content Creation: Creating additional thematic video compilations and channel artwork.
  • Research and Development: Researching trending topics and YouTube algorithms.
  • Intellectual Property Management: Ensuring the value of IP is maximized either through protection or monetization.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience with YouTube channel management.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail with impeccable spelling and grammar.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a positive can-do attitude.
  • Interest in Social Media: Keen interest in viral and social media.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communicator with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with experience of working in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Adobe Photoshop/Premiere Pro.
  • Knowledge of Video Formats: Knowledge of different video formats, video compression, sound/video synchronization.
