Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant-Secondary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to work with students in secondary schools in Portsmouth. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with their studies, assisting with lesson plans, and preparing materials for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in line with the secondary curriculum and syllabus.
  • Support students with tailored lesson plans and materials for Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Work 1:1 with students or with small groups in a classroom setting.
  • Help students with SEND needs to achieve their potential.
  • Provide guidance and support in understanding lessons and completing tasks.
  • Assist in creating a positive and productive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Education.
  • Experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SEND needs and experience working with students with additional learning requirements.
  • Ability to prepare lessons and support students based on the Key Stages.
  • Passionate about education and helping students succeed.
