We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Used Car Sales Manager to join our team at Listers. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales performance and achieving agreed targets for used cars within defined operating and financial guidelines.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in used car sales, with experience in managing daily operations and leading a team to maximize sales. You will work closely with the Sales Manager to support the sales team, develop strategies to drive sales growth, and ensure seamless customer experiences.

You will be expected to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders, and maintain accurate records of sales activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Satisfaction: Develop trust with customers, communicate effectively, and exceed their expectations to ensure an industry-leading buying experience.
  • Maximising Opportunities: Support the sales team in daily operations, including customer contact, sales deal building, and closing, while maintaining the correct level of stock.
  • Maximising Profit: Drive the sales process, support the sales team in achieving KPIs for unit sales, profit per unit, finance penetration, and add-on products, and conduct accurate appraisals of all vehicles presented in part-exchange.
  • Data Quality and FCA Compliance: Ensure accurate completion of all used car sales paperwork, provide reports on sales activities, and adhere to Company obligations regarding customer data and regulatory requirements.
Requirements and Benefits

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  1. Experience in used car sales, preferably as a Used Car Sales Controller or an experienced sales executive looking for your first step into management.
  2. Unlimited confidence, resilience, drive, energy, and talent.
  3. A well-presented individual with the desire, character, and attitude to succeed.
  4. The ability to quickly establish and build rapport with customers.
  5. A valid driving licence and willingness to work between 8:30 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Saturday, as well as working every other Sunday with a day off in the week.
