About the Role

The Business Development Operations Manager will oversee key BD systems and processes, driving project delivery best practice across the firm. This role requires a strong understanding of business development in the legal market and experience in delivering commercial services with a focus on business benefits and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the firm's new CRM system to drive continued engagement.
  • Support the firm's new experience and proposal generation system to drive engagement and elicit feedback for system enhancement.
  • Attend regular meetings with teams across BD and the wider firm to understand ways of working, identify operational inefficiencies, and develop solutions.
  • Work closely with Senior Management Team in the delivery of specific projects across all areas of the BD team.
  • Track and measure results, and report on return on investment on any projects delivered to improve productivity and drive efficiencies.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of projects, including planning and implementation, training, and development of people on new systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of success in planning, managing, and implementing projects and programmes, preferably in a professional services organisation.
  • Strong understanding and awareness of business development in the legal market and how people, processes, and technology work collectively to deliver improved results for stakeholders/clients internally and externally.
  • Experience in delivering excellent, commercial service for internal and external clients with a focus on business benefits and results, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Excellent business writing and communication styles, adaptable to various situations, with the ability to communicate concepts and processes succinctly, including presentation skills.
  • Strategic and pragmatic approach, acting as a 'trusted adviser' across the business, providing practical and innovative solutions to challenges.
