Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join our team at Dunbar Education, working with students who require alternative education provision due to emotional, behavioural, or medical challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with Special Educational Needs.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary.
- Develop individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure learning objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs, ideally within a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) or similar setting.
- Strong subject knowledge in Maths with the ability to differentiate for a range of abilities.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to helping students succeed.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students who may present challenging behaviour.
