Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled and passionate Play Ambassador to join our team of energetic and imaginative play professionals. As a Play Ambassador, you will be responsible for delivering creative and imaginative play sessions, facilitating free play, and ensuring the environment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver Creative Play Sessions

Develop and deliver engaging play sessions in structured classes across the club play areas, in accordance with the Play Team guidelines and Weekly Themes.

Facilitate Free Play

Ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for members, facilitating free play and engaging with children and adults alike.

Pool Parties and Swimming Lessons

Deliver epic pool parties and swimming lessons in our amazing pool, with additional specialist training provided.

Environment Maintenance

Ensure the environment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, completing appropriate checks and recording and reporting of hazards and incidents.

Setup and Rotation of Play Areas

Set up the play areas for activities, rotate and clean resources, and ensure a range of age-appropriate toys and games are available and ready for play.

Weekly Adventures and Experiences

Prepare for and deliver weekly adventures and experiences, ensuring they are safe, age-appropriate, and engaging in accordance with the planning framework and timetable.

Supervision and Monitoring

Supervise and monitor group play, assisting and intervening where appropriate, and assist in implementing our Fair Play Code.

Teamwork

Work as a team to deliver a 5-star family experience for our members.

Requirements
  • Experience

Minimum 1 year of work experience of delivering children's activities in professional settings, such as childcare, play and educational environments, sports/dance/music camps or holiday clubs.

Qualifications

Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Play work/childcare or SEQ Level 2 or equivalent. Those with SEQ Level 1 swimming assistant will also be considered. Other relevant skills and qualifications will also be considered, such as a musical talent or a BA in Art or Music.

Language

Fluent in spoken and written English.

Swimming

Can swim.

Clear Enhanced DBS.

Pay and Benefits

£27,352 - £28,852 per annum inclusive of tronc/service charge. Full-time 40 hours per week, over 5 days. Weekend availability is required for full-time positions. (Zero-hour contracts also available).
