Autism Education Support Role

About the Job

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to develop and implement individualized support plans, utilizing positive behavioral approaches to promote social skills, emotional well-being, and academic achievement. You will also be responsible for providing one-on-one and group support to students with ASD in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Support students with ASD in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 through individualized and group instruction
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans in collaboration with teachers
  • Utilize positive behavioral techniques to foster social skills, emotional stability, and academic success in students with autism
  • A solid grasp of autism and its impact on learning
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team
  • High level of patience, empathy, and understanding
