Job Overview

AWE offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled Human Factors Specialist to join our team in the Reading/Basingstoke area. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will deliver human factors input to the design and assessment of AWE's facilities and processes.

Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

You will be responsible for providing human factors integration to the delivery of design and engineering projects, as well as producing safety cases. You will also develop and maintain corporate human factors guides and standards, perform the role of human factors intelligent customer, promote human factors across the business, and provide support to wider business activities.

Requirements

  • Background: Delivering human factors design and engineering solutions in safety-critical or regulated industries
  • Experience: Applying human factors methods in dynamic, multi-disciplined environments
  • Qualifications: Higher education qualification in relevant discipline (Engineering, Science, Ergonomics, Psychology etc)
  • Skill: Managing technical and non-technical stakeholder relationships
