About the Role

We are seeking a talented Digital Content Officer to join our team at Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS). As a key member of our Digital Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the digital content publishing process and creating intuitive, engaging, and fully optimized UX journeys across our digital estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support all content publishing activities within BAU operations, covering the USS Public Site, My USS Portal, and Employer Portal.
  • Work closely with the Digital Content Manager, having a basic understanding of analysis and measurement techniques and the resulting insights.
  • Maintain and develop knowledge on the USS Content Management System (CMS), its features, functions, templates, processes, and environments.
  • Support the team with the creation of test scripts against allocated components, their subsequent execution, and associated defect remediation process, regression testing, and live proving.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of best practice guidelines for digital content and UX, including accessibility and USS's ongoing commitment to WCAG AA standards.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the Digital inbox, recording enquiries and ensuring they are responded to promptly, and that all business processes are adhered to.
  • Provide excellent customer support to internal and external users, responding to enquiries promptly and delivering requests within agreed timescales.
About You

We are looking for a creative and passionate individual who is comfortable working in a collaborative environment and being part of a close team. You must be flexible and adaptable, with a basic understanding of HTML and CSS, experience in publishing web content with a CMS, and experience in Adobe apps such as Photoshop/Illustrator/Adobe XD or similar.

You will have a knowledge of image optimization techniques, knowledge of User Experience and graphic design principles, and the ability to plan multiple tasks/workstreams. You must be able to work within a team as well as on your own, with excellent attention to detail and excellent written English and communication skills.
