Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Economics instruction to students across Key Stages 4 and 5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to a range of learning styles.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking analysis and debate.
  • Assess student progress through a variety of methods providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Social Sciences department to enrich the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Economics or a closely related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Economics at the secondary level.
  • A strong grasp of economic concepts and their relevance to contemporary issues.
  • Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
