Corporate Governance Officer

About the Role
The Organisation is seeking a Corporate Governance Officer to join their team for a one-year fixed-term contract. This role is responsible for ensuring effective governance and committee processes, supporting the Audit and Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee, and overseeing recruitment and development for committee members.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Audit and Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee, including overseeing recruitment and development for committee members
- Managing internal audit reporting and providing secretarial duties for meetings
- Coordinating projects across internal working groups and supporting the Board Secretary when needed
- Monitoring and updating internal audit action logs, ensuring compliance with governance best practices, and drafting and publishing board briefings
- Managing governance reporting and secretarial duties for meetings, and supporting project coordination across teams
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A degree-level education or relevant professional experience
- Experience supporting committees and internal meetings
- Strong business reporting skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Welsh and English
- The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and knowledge of governance and audit best practices

Benefits
This role offers a salary of £34,081 - £36,034 per annum, 28 days' holiday plus bank holidays, extra days off between Christmas and New Year, and a local government pension scheme, among other benefits.
