Specialist Optometrist | Cataract | Specialist Eye Clinic

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist to join our team at a Specialist Eye Clinic in Fareham. As a Specialist Optometrist, you will be responsible for carrying out examinations associated with cataract surgery, running acute and follow-up clinics, and providing health advice and support to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out examinations for cataract surgery
  • Run acute and follow-up clinics for patients
  • Provide health advice and support to patients
  • Ensure awareness of CQC policies and updates
  • Help control cross-infection in the hospital
  • Proactively identify ways to improve processes and service
  • Build relationships with patients and provide explanations about treatment
  • Responsible for achieving set conversion rates from consultation to booking of treatment

Requirements:

  • GOC Registered
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in the UK
  • Experience working in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Experience within refraction
  • Experience of using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems
  • Cataract experience (desirable) with training available
