Job Overview

AWE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Safety Engineer to join our team in the Engineering Safety Organisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in maintenance engineering and safety.

About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective implementation of engineering safety across AWE's operations. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of SFG20, CIBSE Guide M, ISO 55000, and Infrastructure/Plant/Equipment design standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engineering safety strategies that meet regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical expertise to support the development and delivery of engineering services
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Maintain accurate records of legislative requirements and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Support the development of engineering safety policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of maintenance engineering principles and practices
  • Knowledge of SFG20, CIBSE Guide M, ISO 55000, and Infrastructure/Plant/Equipment design standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. AWE offers a comprehensive benefits package including a contributory pension scheme, life assurance, and employee assistance programme.
