Job Purpose:

To support the National Account Manager in managing a portfolio of key fleet accounts, maintaining relationships with external clients and internal operational teams. Achieving and aspiring to exceed sales revenue and margin growth from existing and new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the NAM in delivering revenue and margin growth as per financial year forecasts
  • Maintain and develop relationships with peer contacts in the portfolio of key HAC fleet accounts
  • Act as a subject matter expert for fleet-related items for operational colleagues
  • Proactively visit operational HAC sites to understand site challenges and opportunities for revenue growth
  • Develop an annual business plan with the NAM, outlining activities to follow during the fiscal year, focusing on meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Manage credit and debtors within the portfolio as required
  • Manage and resolve customer service issues within agreed timeframes
  • Participate in the exchange of best practices with colleagues
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
Job Specifications:
  • Experience in national account/relationship management, ideally within the automotive sector
  • Ability to form strong relationships with the NAM to deliver plans for the customer
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders while demonstrating Halfords values
  • Understanding of the fleet sector
  • Extensive experience in customer relationship management
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Willingness to travel
  • Ability to exceed sales and margin KPIs
Scale and Territory Indicators:

Portfolio of circa 10-20 key accounts

Target sectors: Leasing & Rental, Owner Fleets, Regional Fleets, LCV Operators
