Job Title: Clinical Development Specialist

Overview: Devon Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a skilled clinician to join our team for a 12-month secondment/fixed term developmental post. This role will provide an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in mental health services, with the aim of achieving a Band 6 role after a minimum of 12 months practice.

Torabey District General Hospital is part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust, providing mental health, learning disability, and neurodiversity services. As a Clinical Development Specialist, you will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure consistent, well-coordinated care.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality mental health services, including triage, assessment, recovery-focused planning, referral, and signposting treatment to individuals within the general hospital.
  • Conduct patient and family/carers' assessments, care planning, treatment, and reviews.

Requirements:
  • An appropriate up-to-date professional mental health qualification (e.g., RMN, OT, or Social Worker) registered with no restrictions.
  • Training to level 2 in safeguarding children and young people: roles and competencies for healthcare staff.

Salary and Benefits: A competitive salary range of £32,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus comprehensive benefits package including flexible working arrangements.
