**About the Role:**

GSL Education - Hull is seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to work with secondary students who have diverse learning needs. This role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, as well as experience working in an SEN or mainstream setting with secondary-age students.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Teaching students with special needs on 1:1 or group basis
  • Develop, implement, and regularly review IEPs for students, setting realistic and challenging targets in collaboration with other professionals, parents, and the students themselves
  • Marking, assessing work and tracking pupil progress
  • Developing and adapting conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to define appropriate activities for pupils in relation to the curriculum

**Requirements:**

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - or PGCE
  • 6 months experience working in special needs or alternative provisions
  • Experience working in an SEN or mainstream setting with secondary-age students
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Team player who works well within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the overall success of the school and its students

**Estimated Salary:** £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
