Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to work with secondary students who have diverse learning needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students with special needs on a 1:1 or group basis, marking, assessing work, and tracking pupil progress.

Developing and adapting conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils is essential.

Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people is necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE.\
  • Have 6 months of experience working in special needs or alternative provisions.\
  • Experience working in an SEN or mainstream setting with secondary-age students is advantageous.\
  • A thorough understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.\
  • Team player who works well within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the overall success of the school and its students.\
  • Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to complete one through GSL Education.\
