About the Role

At Dover Precision Components, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality project outcomes that meet customer expectations.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with industrial-level rotating or reciprocating equipment. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, developing close relationships with customers, and ensuring effective communication throughout all stages of projects.

We offer a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including 25 days' annual leave, flexible working hours, and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing product designs and interpreting results to determine the optimum solution for customers' requirements.
  • Developing close working relationships with key customers' technical contacts to recognize business opportunities and respond appropriately.
  • Supporting the development of advanced analysis techniques and performing tasks as required.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Over 7 years of experience in an engineered product manufacturing environment for industrial-level rotating or reciprocating equipment.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to present to and interface with customers continually.
