About the Job

As a Senior Project Engineer at Dover Precision Components, you will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

You will work closely with our design team to develop new products and improve existing ones, providing technical information and support to customers, including preparation of proposals and technical documentation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with industrial-level rotating or reciprocating equipment. You will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, developing close relationships with customers, and ensuring effective communication throughout all stages of projects.

We offer a competitive salary of £75,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including 25 days' annual leave, flexible working hours, and professional development opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing project schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Developing close working relationships with key customers' technical contacts to recognize business opportunities and respond appropriately.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Over 7 years of experience in an engineered product manufacturing environment for industrial-level rotating or reciprocating equipment.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams effectively.
