Project Engineer Job Description

In this exciting opportunity, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between Design, NPI, and Production as a Project Engineer at Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing. Based in Ellesmere Port, this position offers a challenging and rewarding career path for an ambitious professional.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with design and manufacturing teams to introduce new products and processes efficiently.
  2. Support early design concepts with DFM workshops and develop processes for low-rate initial production.
  3. Establish and innovate production systems to enhance capabilities.
  4. Introduce best-in-class practices based on APQP.
  5. Lead Manufacturing Readiness Levels to ensure timely production with optimal processes.
  6. Develop initial manufacturing documentation including SOPs and process control cards.
  7. Communicate industrialisation strategy and business plan actions to the team and stakeholders.
  8. Participate in development planning and training; maintain professional accreditation.

Requirements and Qualifications

A successful Project Engineer should have:

  1. A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  2. A background in New Product launch.
  3. The ability to produce PFMEAs to track projects.
  4. A background in defence or aerospace.
  5. Security Clearance.
  6. Right to work in the UK.

Salary and Benefits

A competitive salary of £43,000 per annum, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, and Pension Contributions.
