Join Our Team as a Hospital IDVA

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced advocate to join our team in providing essential support to survivors of domestic abuse in hospitals and health settings across East Kent.

Job Overview

In this role, you will work closely with hospital staff, safeguarding departments, and other services to advocate for survivors and ensure they receive the necessary support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct needs assessments, using risk assessment tools like DASH, to identify individual requirements and develop effective safety and support plans.
  2. Deliver high-quality advocacy services to survivors of domestic abuse, ensuring their safety and well-being are prioritised at all times.
  3. Train professionals on recognising domestic abuse and responding appropriately, promoting positive outcomes and fostering a culture of respect and empathy within the healthcare sector.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working with survivors of domestic abuse, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse risk assessment tools, such as DASH, and the MARAC process is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to network effectively with various stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be between £25,845 - £30,790 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including opportunities for professional development and training.
