Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Science Teacher to join our team at a school in Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about education and technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that cater to students' needs.
  • Teach Computer Science across various year groups, including Key Stages 3-4.
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through practical Computer Science projects.
  • Maintain a well-organised classroom environment and ensure the safe use and storage of equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members to achieve academic excellence.
  • Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
  • Comply with school policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience teaching at secondary level (KS3-KS5) is preferred, but strong NQTs are welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and behaviour control skills.
  • Hold a degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
