About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Healthcare Specialist to join our team at Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality specialized pharmacy services to inpatient community health wards across Berkshire.

The successful candidate will have a Postgraduate Certificate in clinical pharmacy (Band 7) or Postgraduate diploma or Masters degree in clinical pharmacy (Band 8a), registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and experience in a general clinical/hospital pharmacy.

The estimated salary for this role is £53,135 - £80,894 per annum, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical pharmacy services for community health services (CHS) wards, ensuring medicines optimisation and safety
  • Participate in ward rounds, medication chart reviews, and discharge planning, providing evidence-based prescribing advice
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) treatment guidelines, shared care protocols, and formulary content in line with Trust standards
  • Mentor and supervise junior pharmacy staff, including pre-registration pharmacists and technicians
