About the Role

Candover Green Limited is seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing accurate pricing estimates for new and existing contracts, applying best practice and contributing to the achievement of strategic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the achievement of tendering success rates and business development department goals
  • Set and maintain high standards in tendering, accuracy, commercial insight, and accompanying data evidence
  • Develop and continually improve the company's business development tendering model
  • Undertake site visits to assist with pricing and resource planning
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior directors and managers throughout the business
  • Maintain effective, productive relationships while managing conflicting priorities of colleagues
Requirements
  • Excellent analytical, financial, and commercial skills in relation to business development
  • Advanced level in application of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong organisational skills, with excellent time management, the ability to work under pressure, and to multiple tight and concurrent deadlines
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills and an effective approach to decision-making
  • Capable of conducting research, with the ability to understand the company's services, markets, and competitors
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues and other stakeholders
  • Numerate, analytical, and articulate
  • Ability to interpret information, carry out research, analyse complex data, make sound judgments, and appraise performance
Personal Qualities
  • Proactive, a confident communicator, working collaboratively with the team and wider group with a clear commitment to the highest ethical standards and Company behaviours and values
  • Shows good communication skills and builds positive relationships
  • Some knowledge of competitive tendering, and experience in a similar role preferred
Qualifications
  • Qualification to degree standard in a relevant subject is preferred
  • Full UK Driving Licence
