About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our dynamic Street Outreach team in Oxford. As an Outreach Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a rapid response service to individuals experiencing homelessness across the city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of individuals' needs and deliver personalized support to help them access key healthcare, benefits, and accommodation services.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies across the city to ensure a comprehensive approach to meeting clients' individual needs.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and community partners to ensure a seamless service delivery.
  • Work on a flexible shift rota, including early morning and evening shifts, to ensure we are available to support individuals when they need us most.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and groups.
  • A good understanding of the complex issues faced by homeless individuals and the challenges they experience in accessing services.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Resilience and patience when working with individuals who may have complex needs and challenging behaviors.
