About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Pricing Science team at Markerstudy Insurance Services Limited (MISL). As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our price modelling process, working closely with our Technical Pricing Team to identify business problems and recommend solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a strong understanding of our pricing processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Design and implement research and development projects to improve the performance and efficiency of our machine learning models
  • Collaborate with our data scientists to maintain and improve our existing tools and platforms
  • Work with our Technical Pricing Team to develop and implement new pricing strategies
  • Develop and maintain our data science and analytics capabilities
Requirements
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R (or both) and relevant data science and statistics libraries
  • Knowledge of data manipulation, machine learning, advanced analytics, and statistical techniques
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Degree qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., mathematics, computer science, computer engineering, statistics)
  • Experience in insurance or other financial services (advantageous)
