Job Description

We are a multinational company developing, manufacturing and distributing products for brake and suspension systems on commercial vehicles. Our customers are typically manufacturers of heavy trucks, buses and trailers and we have a strong global presence with sales offices, R&D and production sites all over the world.

We are seeking a skilled Telematics Developer to join our UK R&D site at MIRA. As the lead software developer for our automotive telematics product line, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software for a variety of telematics applications, including:

  • Commercial vehicle diagnostics and maintenance
  • Fleet management
  • Driver safety and security
  • Connected Trailer services
Requirements
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Communications or related field or experience
  • 4+ years of professional experience in embedded software development, product engineering, or software design using C
  • Expertise in software development for real-time, embedded, multi-threaded systems.
  • Expertise in security protocols
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and Continuous Deployment
  • Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) and/or telematics technology
  • Experience working with RTOS
  • Experience with board-level hardware design and drivers/firmware design
  • Experience with remote interfaces such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, Satellite, Radio
  • Experience with UDP, TCP/IP, CAN, MQTT networking communication protocols
  • Experience working within a formal software development process.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in or willingness to be trained in the following:
  • Classic AUTOSAR base software and AUTOSAR architectures
  • Product Owner in Scaled AGILE
  • ASPICE
  • CISP Cybersecurity Information Security Professional
  • STM32 Microcontrollers

Onsite working in MIRA, minimum 3 days per week

During 2024, 25% travel to India to work with offshore developer team.
