About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Community Nurse to join our Bank team to work various shifts in Integrated Community Adult Teams around Nottingham.

Job Summary

This position will give you the opportunity to work as a Bank Nurse, providing care to patients within their own homes and care homes. You will attend to planned home visits as well as emergency district nurse visits.

Main Duties

You will be delivering nursing care to housebound patients, liaising closely with local GPs and other members of the wider MDT, as well as with patients and their families. Excellent communication skills are essential.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Professional Qualification (Mental Health/Learning Disabilities/General) to degree level or equivalent.
  • Maintains current registration with the NMC.

Desirable

  • Demonstrate continued professional development to maintain professional registration.

Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrates satisfactory clinical expertise for the banding.

Desirable

  • Specialist and area-specific experience.

Driving Licence

Essential

  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Skills

Essential

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good written/oral communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and handle conflict issues.
  • Good skills in assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patients' nursing care.
  • IT skills.
