Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Acuity Care Group Limited. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an individual living in Totton, supporting them with Autism and complex Mental Health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive support with daily living activities, including personal care and housekeeping.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting the individual's independence and well-being.
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times, adhering to care plans and guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members, maintaining confidentiality and respecting privacy.
  • Assist with light household chores, including cooking, cleaning, and planning.
  • Support the individual in developing everyday life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
  • Participate in leisure activities, such as gym sessions, bowling, and playing pool, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
  • Help with homework and support the individual in accessing new experiences.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Autism and mental health diagnosis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
  • Full UK driving license.
