Job Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join our team at Acuity Care Group Limited. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an individual living in Totton, supporting them with their daily needs and promoting their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment, promoting the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members, maintaining confidentiality and respecting their privacy.
  • Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided, ensuring the individual's needs are met.
  • Assist with light household chores, including cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
  • Help the individual build everyday life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, and planning.
  • Join in with the individual's interests, such as going to the gym, watching plays, and participating in leisure activities.
  • Help with homework and other educational activities.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with individuals with Autism and mental health diagnosis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Full UK driver's license.
