About the DepartmentThe Bonhams Impressionist & Modern Art department in London works closely with our colleagues in Paris and New York to deliver exceptional results in the art market. We offer a unique opportunity for an intern to gain hands-on experience in the art world, working alongside our team of experts to research, prepare, and execute sales.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team on a full-time basis. As an intern, you will be responsible for assisting our team in various tasks, including:
- Conducting in-depth research on artworks using internal and external resources
- Supporting the department in preparing for sales, including producing condition reports and assisting with aftersales
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients and collectors
- Maintaining accurate records and databases
- Assisting with art market research and business development initiatives
We are looking for a candidate with a strong passion for art and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in Impressionist & Modern Art
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
