About the Role

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Health and Justice teams at HMP/YOI Bronzefield. As a Neurodiversity Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting the implementation of a Neurodiverse pathway of care, working across five Surrey Prisons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and delivery of a comprehensive service for individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders, based on evidence and principles of recovery.
  • Hold a caseload of clinical work under supervision, providing assessment, intervention, and evaluation of care for individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
  • Advocate for individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders within the prison system, promoting best practice and the safety and wellbeing of patients.
  • Work alongside other neurodevelopmental disorder practitioners to improve outcomes for individuals with Neurodevelopmental Disorders across all prisons served by CNWL.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Health and Social Care Profession (Nurse, Mental Health/Learning Disability or Occupational Therapist or Social Worker) with current registration (NMC/HCPC/SWE)
  • Clinical experience of assessing, treating, or supporting individuals with Autism, ADHD, and/or Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities in health or social care settings
  • Experience of working with individuals whose communication skills are impacted upon by Neurodevelopmental Disorders and where reasonable adjustments need to be made
