About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Graduate Mental Health Assistant to work with children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs in Reading. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welfare and mental health principles, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality support and guidance to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • To develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and well-being among pupils.
  • To work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to achieve optimal outcomes for pupils.
Requirements
  • Degree in Psychology, Criminology, or Health and Social Care.
  • Strong understanding of welfare and mental health principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
