Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our innovative specialist CAMHS team in Berkshire West.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity offers a chance to work collaboratively with a cohesive team of professionals, including psychologists, family therapists, art therapists, nurses, CBT therapists, assistants, and an experienced administration team.
Key Responsibilities- To provide psychiatric services to children and young people living in the Reading locality.
- To work collaboratively with other consultants within the West Business Unit to ensure that psychiatric services are provided relative to demand across the unit.
- Excellent knowledge in specialty.
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including excellent training opportunities, ongoing professional development, and a supportive working environment.
