Job Overview

Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our innovative specialist CAMHS team in Berkshire West.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity offers a chance to work collaboratively with a cohesive team of professionals, including psychologists, family therapists, art therapists, nurses, CBT therapists, assistants, and an experienced administration team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide psychiatric services to children and young people living in the Reading locality.
  • To work collaboratively with other consultants within the West Business Unit to ensure that psychiatric services are provided relative to demand across the unit.
Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty.
  • Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
  • Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others.
  • Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £120,000 - £150,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including excellent training opportunities, ongoing professional development, and a supportive working environment.
