We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Disability Nurse to join our Community Learning Disability Team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Learning Disability Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with severe learning disabilities and mental health problems.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive behavioral and sleep assessments for children and young people with severe learning disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based interventions tailored to the needs of each individual.
- Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as required.
- Travel across the Cheshire area as needed to provide timely support to clients.
- Provide group workshops to parents and carers.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following qualifications, knowledge, and experience:
- Registered Nurse (Learning Disabilities).
- Knowledge of learning disability and child-related policy.
- Current best practice in learning disability nursing.
- Knowledge about safeguarding children.
- NHS policy and practice, health improvement, and public health agenda.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proven experience of working with people with learning disabilities.
