Position Overview
Are you a dedicated nurse or paramedic seeking a new direction in your career? Join us for a rewarding opportunity that offers a progressive career path and comprehensive training.
- Annual Salary: £40,000
- £1000 bonus upon completion of 12 months of service.
- Full-time positions involve a structured shift pattern of 4 days on followed by 4 days off, with day shifts from 06:45 to 19:00 and night shifts from 18:45 to 07:00. A rolling rota is available for 2 years in advance.
- Part-time roles also follow a fixed shift schedule, including day and night shifts, with a team rota pattern of 2 days on, 8 days off, followed by 2 nights and 4 days off. A rolling rota is available for 2 years in advance.
- Estimated average overtime: £3500 per year.
- NMC/HCPC Registration fees covered.
Key Responsibilities
In partnership with law enforcement, you will provide essential healthcare services to individuals in custody. Our commitment is to ensure the safety and well-being of detainees, with continuous coverage in custody suites according to an agreed schedule.
As a qualified nurse or paramedic, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact within the criminal justice system, supporting some of the most vulnerable members of society. We prioritize the right to healthcare for all, placing health and well-being at the forefront of our care approach. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality care, take pride in being part of a collaborative team, and are eager to enhance their clinical, forensic, and general skills.
No prior forensic experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.
This role requires flexibility to work across various police custody suites within the designated region.

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse (RN, RGN) or Registered Mental Nurse (RMN with dual registration) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience at Band 5.
- Paramedic with at least 2 years post-qualification experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient-facing role in relevant fields such as General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk-in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, or Ambulance Service.
- Valid Driving Licence.
- Eligibility to work in the UK, with a British Passport or Indefinite Leave to Remain for at least 3 years and no significant gaps outside the country.
- All candidates will undergo Police Vetting.
