We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Inspector to join our team at First Bus. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of effective and efficient examination standards within the examination team under your control.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and motivate the Vehicle Examination Team to achieve high standards of quality and safety.
- Conduct regular maintenance and safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and Group policies.
- Provide guidance and support to other staff members as required.
- Minimum Level 3 NVQ standard or equivalent certification and relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of DVSA standards for defect categorisation and annual testing.
- Ability to operate workshop equipment safely and effectively.
- Willingness to attend training opportunities and complete them to a suitable standard.
- Full UK driving licence and PSV/PCV licence (or willingness to obtain).
