Job Title: Children's Residential Home Registered Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Children's Residential Home Registered Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safeguarding of all young people in our care, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Staff Supervision: Provide effective supervision and support to our staff team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
  • Staffing and Rotas: Manage and monitor staffing costs, structures, and rotas to ensure they meet the needs of our young people and are within budget.
  • House Management: Ensure the house is always ready for inspections, maintaining good or excellent grades across all areas.
  • Intervention Strategies: Develop and implement effective intervention strategies to support young people in developing coping mechanisms and changing patterns of behavior.
  • Meetings and Reviews: Lead on ensuring meetings and reviews are conducted within required timeframes, ensuring the best outcomes for our young people.
  • Care Planning: Ensure effective delivery of individual care planning requirements for our young people.
  • Administration: Complete financial, payroll, and staffing-related tasks within prescribed timeframes.
  • Ofsted Induction: Complete Ofsted Induction Standards within 24 weeks of employment.
  • Partnerships: Work in partnership with families, local authorities, and external agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for our young people.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: QCF 3 in Children and Young People's Workforce (Children's Social Care Pathway) or equivalent.
  • Education: Educated to OFQUAL Standard or ability to demonstrate competency at this level.
  • Driving License: Full UK driving license.
  • Training: Commitment to start Ofsted Induction Standards and complete within 24 weeks of employment.
  • Knowledge: Wide knowledge of behaviors displayed by children and young people and understanding of intervention strategies.
