Contract Manager Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Contract Manager to join our team at Ian Williams Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing direct trade teams, ensuring the successful delivery of response works to the expected standards, on time and to budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incentivising and motivating directly employed labour while engaging and managing subcontractors for specialist works.
  • Instilling ownership and responsibility in teams to support the successful delivery of response works.
  • Managing and overseeing a high volume of response and maintenance jobs, ensuring they are communicated, delivered and managed efficiently.
  • Ensuring and enforcing Health and Safety measures are in place and monitored.
  • Building relationships both internally and with clients to ensure a successful and collaborative delivery.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in managing direct trade teams from a similar role/environment and industry.
  • Ability to multitask, find tangible solutions and manage several KPI variables to achieve targets.
  • Sound working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, with a current SMSTS.
  • Understanding of the impact that operations can have on cost and risk management.
  • Trade background (all trades considered to NVQ level 2 or equivalent) preferred but not essential.
