About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Music Specialist Teacher to join our team at The Grange School, Thatcham. As a SEN Music Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering music education to neurodiverse children and young people, fostering creativity, self-expression, and a love of music.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver music education in a way that is accessible to all, adapting to the needs, skills, and interests of each pupil.
  • Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to direct them in effectively supporting the pupils.
Requirements
  • Patience, compassion, and resilience in working with neurodiverse pupils.
  • A genuine interest in a career focused on the education of people with a wide range of needs.
  • A driving licence, as pupils may require learning experiences in various settings.
