Job Title: SEN Teacher - Music Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teacher - Music Specialist to join our team at Phoenix Learning and Care Group. As a Music Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering music education to our neurodiverse learners, fostering creativity, self-expression, and a love of music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, teach, and assess music learning for our learners, adapting to their individual needs and abilities.
  • Work closely with our integrated therapies team to support learners with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement music-based interventions to promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record progress, using data to inform teaching practices and improve outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse learners, particularly those with complex needs.
  • Strong music teaching skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and parents.
  • A driving license and willingness to transport learners.
