Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Music Educator to join our team at Phoenix Learning & Care Group. As a Music Educator, you will play a vital role in delivering music education to our neurodiverse students, fostering creativity, self-expression, and a love of music.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Assessing: Lead classroom activities, plan, teach, and assess learning, particularly with your assigned class. This may involve a range of subjects and topics, as well as pastoral support.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and record progress, both academically and against EHCP outcomes.
  • Pupil Support: Work closely with pupils to keep them engaged, motivated, and inspired to reach their full potential.
  • Collaboration: Work with Teaching Assistants to direct them in effectively supporting pupils.

Requirements:

  • Patience and Compassion: Demonstrate patience and compassion when working with neurodiverse students, who may require additional support with learning behavior and communication needs.
  • Effective Communication: Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to contribute to a range of resources and share information effectively.
  • Driving License: Hold a valid driving license to transport pupils to various learning settings.
  • Passion for Education: Demonstrate a genuine interest in a career focused on the education of individuals with diverse needs.
