About the Role

Vermont SportsCar is seeking a highly skilled Senior Motorsports Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the technical planning, preparation, and execution of our motorsports programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical strategy for our motorsports programs, including test days and race events.
  • Manage a team of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful execution of our technical plans.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as composites, fabrication, and paint, to ensure the successful preparation of our cars.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues on our professional-level race cars.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve chassis setup and performance.
  • Manage the organization and coordination of our race day activities.
  • Interact with scrutineers, race officials, and other teams in a professional manner.
  • Record and analyze data from our events to inform future technical decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of high-level motorsport experience with a professional race team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
